Wal-Mart Credit Card Review
The WalMart credit card is a pretty basic card with few special benefits. The regular APR is pretty high even if your credit is good (the lowest annual percentage rate you can get is 11.62%). The Introductory offer is pretty lame. First off, the introductory APR is only for the first $250.00 and you must make your purchase from Walmart.com before June 30th of this year.
One advantage is the three cents off per gallon of gas at Walmart gas stations. With gas prices soaring at record prices every little bit counts. This feature is not available at every Walmart gas station though; make sure you see the three cents off sign above the gas pump before you start filling up.
Personally I would not apply for this credit card, and I don’t recommend that you do either. It is simply a lackluster card with nothing that makes it very good.

I recently inquired to get a Walmart credit card and was denied. However, I have a Care Credit account that my limit was just raised on. Can you please explain the logic and why items on my credit from 4 years are taken into consideration while I have had no late payments or deliquencies since 2007. I would have rather had a Walmart credit to help with Christmas than an increase on Care that is only used for medical.

I am contacting you since I don't know who else to call on this. We gave my son a Walmart debit card, I think for Christmas 2009. This card has been in his wallet since. He tried to use it recently but was told it has never been activated. We do not have a receipt with an activation number on it. I tried the customer service number on the back of the card but cannot talk to a real person. I went to the store where I bought the card and they told me to call the number which doesn't help me. I know this probably isn't your issue, but can you direct me to someone who can help me?
