Orchard Bank Credit Cards

Orchard Bank

There are three different credit card options offered by Orchard Bank, and these are based on the consumer’s preference. These categories would include; a gas credit card, a low APR card, and their classic, and all have an opportunity to secure. Of course you should know that all of their credit cards are MasterCard and not Visa.

The Orchard Bank Premium Gas card is the best choice for someone that travels fairly often, or that has a long commute to work. The best thing about this card is that it offers a pretty decent return of 3% cash back on all gas purchases or on merchandise at gas stations, so if gas is the area that you spend the most in, this is definitely the card for you. Not only does it give you a return on your gas, but you can also receive 2% on all other purchases, so you’re not limited to one spending category to qualify for a return on your money like some credit cards. As an added bonus, some people may qualify for an introductory offer of 0% APR for six months. Although there is still the issue of the actual APR on this credit card, they offer a variable interest rate between 14.90% and 15.99% with no annual fee, or you can get the secured card with 7.90%, but be warned, you will have to pay an annual fee and possibly a processing fee, so be sure that it is really worth it. If you plan on using this card very frequently and don’t pay off your credit card every month, it might be a good idea to go ahead and pay those fees to save you more money in the long run with lower interest fees. However, if you are planning on paying off your credit card month by month, then I wouldn’t worry about it.

The Orchard Bank Low APR credit card is designed more for people with poor credit. It doesn’t come with any rewards, but it does still have its merits. The best feature is of course the low APR (8.90%, or 7.90% for secured), but it also comes with text alerts around the time that your bill is due, as an extra reminder. I think that is a really good idea, because even though some companies offer reminders via email, sometimes you just can’t find the time to check it (some people have access to the internet on their cell phone), but most people do carry a cell phone, so it could be more accessible to you. You also have the option to pick your payment date, and this also makes it easier because you can set it up closer to your pay-day or whatnot. You can also manage your account online. Unfortunately there isn’t an introductory offer with this card, and if you do choose the secure card, you will have to pay a processing fee, and both require an annual fee of $5 - $8.

The Orchard Bank Classic card doesn’t come with any reward features either, and it has a higher interest rate than the Low APR credit card. Therefore I don’t see why anyone would choose this card over the others. This one also comes with online management, email and text reminders for your payment date, but one difference is that it actually comes with a six month 0% introductory offer for people that meet the requirements. There is no annual fee for the unsecured, and the APR is 14.90% - 15.99%. The secured does have an annual fee and a processing fee of $79 and $49 respectfully, and an APR of 7.90%

On the Orchard Bank website, they do offer another credit card called the Orchard Bank Secured MasterCard, but I wouldn’t recommend getting this card, since the other three cards give you the opportunity to secure, and with less fees and the possibility of reward features depending on which one you choose. It offers a 7.90% APR, which is the same as the secured version of the others, a $35 annual fee which is waived the first year, and a minimum security deposit of $200. It comes with the same online features except that you won’t get the text reminders. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend this card, but I think that all of the other ones are good, perhaps you could find better. I would say that the best Orchard Bank credit card is the gas card.

I called last week. I lost my platinum card. So because I haven't spent the 1000 dollars you want me to, you punish me by giving me the first card I started with. I really like your store, but I won't shop there.
