This is a store card and can only be used at Office Depot stores and online at their website. It is a pretty bare-bones credit card that doesn’t have any rewards program attached to it. It does come with one benefit; if you purchase more than $299 dollars worth of furniture or technology items you will receive no interest for six months if you pay it off before six months is over. There is one catch on this offer though. If you fail to pay it off in six months or you make a late payment you will be charged all of the interest.
You cannot apply for this card online, you must go to one of their stores and fill out an application. Approval is pretty automatic at the store though so you will normally be approved the same day after a quick credit check by their computers.
This is another store charge card that you should avoid. It comes with a very high interest rate and only one real advantage; the six-month no interest can be easily beaten by a card that has a low introductory APR offer. In fact, since we aren’t fans of the Staples credit card either, the only office supply store card that we could recommend would be the OfficeMax Signature Visa credit card. It has decent rewards programs, and the interest rate is much lower at 16.99%; also since it is a visa, you are able to use this card at any location that accepts visa, so that is yet another advantage to these pitiful store charge cards.
