The Chase Ultimate rewards program is the newest in the line of the Chase reward series. First came the plus, flexible, and freedom rewards and now they have the Ultimate. This was introduced with the arrival of the Chase Sapphire card and you can maximize your points with that card.
One exciting feature is the auctions; you can bid on any auction if you have enough points to cover the bid. You can also purchase points from Chase at a thousand points per twenty-five dollars, up to five thousand points in a thirty day period. You can get some pretty nice items for under the retail price if you bid wisely.
The cash back reward is only one percent. Since you receive one point for every purchase and one hundred points is equal to one dollar. There are many better cards that offer a better cash back percentage. If you are basing your decision which has the best in this area you should look at the American Express Blue card. You do actually collect double points when you use your card to purchase items from the Ultimate reward site.
At least they make it easier to redeem your points than other programs. When you reserve your hotel, claim your airline tickets, or make any purchase through their catalog you can choose to use your points, buy it with your credit card, or use a combination of both.
